Krugersdorp couple escalate year-long family prank war with car sticker and mock billboard campaign

A Gauteng couple's ongoing prank battle has attracted attention after a series of increasingly elaborate practical jokes culminated in a planned mock billboard campaign in Krugersdorp.

Chandré and Raeno Scholtz, who live in the West Rand, have spent the past year engaging in humorous acts of one-upmanship, often with the enthusiastic involvement of their two children, Logan and Amber.

The prank rivalry reportedly began when Raeno celebrated his wife's birthday by placing her face on a bottle of dishwashing liquid and naming her the household's 'Employee of the Month'.Since then, family members have regularly targeted one another with harmless practical jokes.

The latest escalation occurred when Chandré, recovering from tonsillitis, asked her husband to take her Mini Cooper to have its bonnet racing stripes repaired.

When the vehicle was returned, it featured a giant sticker of Raeno posing in black underwear alongside the message, 'I really love my husband'.Because removing the decal too soon could damage the paintwork, Chandré was forced to leave it in place for several weeks.

In response, she publicly mocked her husband on local community social media groups by posting a humorous warning notice describing his actions and poking fun at his appearance and behaviour.

Not content to stop there, she created a series of fake advertisements promoting 'Sticker Guy Merch', featuring fictional merchandise such as mugs, hoodies, caps and keyrings decorated with the same image used on the car sticker.

According to the report, Chandré had the posters printed and planned to place them on lamp posts around Krugersdorp while her husband was away playing golf, continuing what both appear to view as a light-hearted and ongoing family prank competition.
