The governor of Lanao del Sur, Adiong, has offered a cash incentive for any information leading to the arrest of gunmen who ambushed Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) personnel in Calanogas.The ambush occurred on July 8, leaving one fire officer dead and three others injured.The victims were en route to Malabang town when they were attacked by unidentified assailants on Secretary Narciso Ramos Highway.Local authorities confirmed the attack happened as the officers returned from Masiu town.The perpetrators fled using motorcycles, and officials are working with community leaders to resolve the incident.

Adiong emphasized the need for public cooperation in identifying the attackers, highlighting the ongoing efforts to ensure justice for the victims and restore peace in the affected barangay.
