Love Island USA has removed Vasana Montgomery, 25, from its upcoming eighth season following the circulation of videos showing her using the n-word.The videos, which were privately shared and not reviewed during the casting process, emerged online shortly after Montgomery's participation was announced.Her dismissal comes just days before the season's premiere on Peacock on 2 June.This marks the second consecutive year that cast members have been expelled due to resurfaced racist content.

Last year, Yulissa Escobar was removed in the second episode after similar videos surfaced, while Cierra Ortega left following the discovery of a racist term directed at Asian people.Despite a comparable incident involving Huda Mustafa, she remained on the show and reached the finale.Montgomery has not publicly commented on her removal.The season will feature contestants including Paralympic athlete Beatriz Hatz and British-born islander Zach Georgiou.Episodes will air daily during the premiere week, and subsequently each day except Wednesdays.
