A content creator in Madhya Pradesh's Niwari district, Yashpal Soni, has been booked by police for allegedly using abusive language in a social media post targeting former Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the Delhi Police.The incident occurred after Soni posted a video on Instagram, which led to complaints from BJP leaders, including the party's block chief.Soni was arrested under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita related to public nuisance and intentional insult.

Niwari Superintendent of Police Ray Singh Narwaria stated the video was 'way out of the purview of freedom of expression' and emphasized that such content should not be promoted.The case gained attention amid youth protests led by the Cockroach Janta Party demanding Pradhan's resignation over exam irregularities.

The protests, which began in Delhi after police forcibly hospitalized activist Sonam Wangchuk, faced a police crackdown, leading to injuries and spreading nationwide.Pradhan resigned on Saturday following the unrest.

Meanwhile, 14 Muslims were arrested in West Bengal for alleged attacks on police and journalists during a protest against paper leaks, with 11 detained under the 2026 Goonda Act.The CPI(ML) Liberation criticized the BJP for targeting minorities and activists, fearing unity across religions.
