The Madlanga Commission has imposed strict restrictions on discussing Suliman Carrim's health during his upcoming testimony.Chair Justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga ordered that no mention of Carrim's medical condition or healthcare providers be made, following his absence from a scheduled hearing last week due to alleged ill health.The commission is awaiting CCTV footage from a Western Cape shopping centre and Woolworths to verify Carrim's claims.

Advocate Matthew Chaskalson highlighted gaps in the medical documentation submitted on Carrim's behalf and has requested his doctors' records.

Carrim, implicated in a money laundering scheme involving Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala and Hangwani Maumela, previously testified about financial transactions totaling over R45 million.The commission will conduct an in-camera hearing this Friday to address these allegations.
