A 32-year-old man from Florey has been arrested and charged with burglary and theft after being caught leaving a Gungahlin home with stolen items.Police reported that the incident occurred on Friday, July 3, when the suspect entered a storage area and attached garage of a residence in Gungahlin Place around 12:15pm.Residents interrupted the burglary and called authorities, leading to the man's arrest shortly after.Officers allegedly found him carrying stolen property as he attempted to flee on foot.The suspect, who is subject to good behaviour obligations, is expected to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court on Saturday.Investigators confirmed that several stolen items were recovered and returned to the owner.
