A 20-year-old man from Brampton, Ontario, has been charged with dangerous operation of a conveyance following a collision between a jet ski and a Toronto lifeguard patrol vessel in the Scarborough Bluffs.The incident occurred on Thursday when a lifeguard was patrolling a designated swim zone aboard a patrol vessel.
Investigators allege the jet ski entered the swim zone, collided with the lifeguard’s vessel, and threw the officer into the water, resulting in minor injuries.The operator continued riding before being directed to shore by another lifeguard.Toronto Police’s Marine Unit responded, investigated the collision, and arrested the individual.The man is scheduled to appear in court on August 25.
