The government-funded project includes the drilling of new water wells, construction of a pumping station, installation of a two-million-litre water storage tank, and expansion of distribution pipelines across residential areas.Once completed, the project will significantly increase water production capacity in Manyoni from 2.057 million litres per day to 6.48 million litres per day. This increase is expected to greatly improve access to clean and safe water for more than 64,000 residents.

Officials said the project will raise water service coverage in Manyoni from 49 percent to 100 percent and has been designed to meet the town's water demand for the next 20 years. The investment is intended to support sustainable urban growth while improving living standards and access to essential services.
