President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.announced during his State of the Nation Address that twelve stations of the MRT-7 line will commence operations next year, aiming to alleviate commuter challenges caused by rising fuel prices.

The project, spanning from North Avenue to Sacred Heart in Quezon City and eventually reaching San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, is expected to serve nearly 1 million passengers daily.

Marcos highlighted the importance of mass transport infrastructure, citing the Accelerated and Reformed Right-of-Way Act as a key enabler for resolving land acquisition issues.

Additional transport initiatives include extending the North-South Commuter Railway to Clark in Pampanga and advancing bus rapid transit projects like Cebu's BRT.

The government also emphasized improving connectivity through integrated terminals and airports, positioning these developments as critical to economic growth and public mobility.
