The operation, spearheaded by police and involving departments such as Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation, and Electricity, focused on profiling the squalid structure located on Lancers Road.The building, situated near health facilities and taxi ranks, was identified as a major crime generator.Officials noted the presence of illegal electricity connections, water sourcing from nearby areas, and non-compliance with by-laws.Residents, facing poor living conditions, highlighted the lack of basic services and the challenges of survival in such an environment.

The operation aims to compile a comprehensive report to formulate a long-term action plan for the area, addressing both criminal activity and infrastructure deficiencies.
