Gladys Wanjiru, the wife of Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, has shared her personal academic experiences with Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, highlighting his role as both her university lecturer and master’s dissertation supervisor.
She made the remarks during the official launch of the Cherangany Hills Ecosystem Restoration for Livelihood Improvement, Sustainability and Harmony (CHERISH) initiative, which was held in connection with the International Day for Biological Diversity 2026.The event brought together leaders and members of the public, with Kindiki serving as the chief guest.
While addressing the gathering, Gladys reflected on her time in university, noting that she and her husband studied in the same class where Kindiki taught international human rights.She expressed admiration for his dedication to academic work, particularly his commitment to supervising students closely and thoroughly.
