My Chemical Romance to host London release party for ‘Danger Days’ deluxe reissue during Wembley shows

My Chemical Romance have announced a special London event titled ‘Battery City Underground: Danger Days – A Release Party’ to celebrate the upcoming deluxe edition reissue of their 2010 album ‘Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys’.The event is scheduled to take place at BOXPARK Wembley on 9 July, just one day before the reissued album is officially released.It will also coincide with the band’s run of sold-out Wembley Stadium shows, including their final two performances on 10 and 11 July.The release party is being presented by BL/ind and is designed to immerse fans in the world of ‘Danger Days’.

The night will feature DJ sets from Sean Smith, DJ Kobra Kid and DJ Party Poison, offering a themed celebration tied closely to the album’s aesthetic and narrative universe.

Tickets will cost £5, but access is limited and fans must pre-order the deluxe edition of the album by a specified deadline in order to secure purchase access.

The deluxe reissue of ‘Danger Days’ will be available in multiple formats, including 2LP picture disc, zoetrope vinyl, coloured vinyl editions, 2CD and cassette versions.A UK-exclusive BL/ind edition CD with special artwork is also being released.

The announcement comes during My Chemical Romance’s ongoing UK tour, which began in Liverpool at Anfield Stadium, where they performed deeper cuts including ‘Save Yourself, I’ll Hold Them Back’.The band has also been revisiting key moments from their catalogue, including their BBC Radio 1 cover of Pulp’s ‘Common People’.Originally released in 2010, ‘Danger Days’ was a significant record for the band and earned recognition at the 2011 NME Awards.It remains their most recent studio album before their 2013 split and later reunion in 2019.
