The Director-General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Mr.Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin, met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to discuss the council's strategies to accelerate Nigeria's automotive industry growth.

The meeting highlighted initiatives to boost local vehicle manufacturing, deepen the automotive value chain, promote innovation, and attract investment.

Osanipin emphasized the government's commitment to industrialisation and global competitiveness, noting that Tinubu's policies provide the necessary direction for the sector's transformation.The council aims to enhance local manufacturing capacity, develop skilled manpower, and increase local content across the automotive value chain.

Osanipin stressed the importance of the automotive sector as a strategic pillar for Nigeria's economic diversification, expressing confidence that sustained policy support will position the country as a leading automotive manufacturing hub in Africa.The discussion also focused on creating an enabling environment for sustainable industry growth and reducing reliance on imported vehicles.
