National Assembly speaker Moses Wetang'ula has intensified campaigns for President William Ruto's 2027 re-election, emphasizing the region's continued support for ongoing development projects and economic empowerment programs.

Speaking at events in Vihiga and Kakamega, Wetang'ula linked the region's backing to investments in sports stadiums, road infrastructure, healthcare, and SME support, citing the country's strong performance under the Kenya Kwanza administration.

He challenged residents to register as voters, stressing that population alone cannot translate into political influence without electoral participation.Wetang'ula also urged youth to reject violence as political campaigns intensify, advocating for peaceful politics and unity.

The speaker highlighted the importance of empowering churches as community investments, given their role in providing spiritual guidance and supporting education and healthcare.

The Kakamega fundraiser, attended by leaders like governor Fernandez Barasa and President Ruto's aide Farouk Kibet, underscored the administration's focus on national unity and development.
