The Senate impeachment court, presided over by Sen.Francis 'Chiz' Escudero, has ordered the issuance of subpoenas for two National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) officials to appear in the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte.

The subpoena ad testificandum and subpoena duces tecum were directed at NBI-BARMM regional director Jeremy Lotoc and NBI Cyber Investigation and Assessment Center senior agent John Mark Calilung.

These officials are among the first witnesses lined up for presentation from July 6 to July 8, expected to testify on Impeachment Article 1, which alleges a grave threat and assassination plot against President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos, and former Speaker Martin Romualdez.The defense team of Duterte has stated they will object to the testimonial evidence presented by witnesses.
