The Federal Government has pledged to transform Nigeria's cashew industry into a globally competitive sector by addressing the issue of 85% of raw cashew exports.

At a stakeholders' workshop in Abuja, officials outlined a roadmap to expand local processing, attract investments, create jobs, and boost non-oil exports.

The plan aligns with President Tinubu's economic policies and aims to tackle challenges like low productivity, poor infrastructure, and limited access to finance.

Key stakeholders emphasized the need for sustained reforms, improved processing capacity, and climate-smart farming to enhance Nigeria's position in the global cashew market.The initiative seeks to increase domestic processing, elevate farmers' incomes, and strengthen Nigeria's export competitiveness.
