Nigeria Super Eagles go enter their upcoming international friendly matches against Poland and Portugal without two of their biggest attacking stars, Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman.Head coach Eric Chelle confirm say both players no go feature for the games as the team prepare for the European tour.According to Chelle, Osimhen dey excused from the squad because of uncertainty surrounding im club future and possible transfer movements.The coach explain say dem prefer make the striker remain where e dey instead of risking him fitness or performance when e no dey 100 per cent ready.
On the other hand, Ademola Lookman also no go travel with the squad as he don receive permission to rest after a very demanding season at club level, with fatigue being the main reason for im absence.The coach also reveal say Atalanta request make Lookman get time off due to workload concerns.
Beyond player absences, Nigeria also dey face some administrative challenges, including visa-related issues affecting some squad members ahead of the trip.
Despite all these setbacks, Eric Chelle insist say the Super Eagles go still travel to Europe with strong mindset and determination to compete well against top opposition.He describe Poland as a solid World Cup-bound side and also acknowledge Portugal as one of the strongest national teams in world football.
Chelle talk say the matches go serve as important opportunity for Nigeria to test different players and continue rebuilding the squad after dem fail to qualify for the FIFA World Cup.
He emphasize say even if results no go their way, the team go still fight hard and make life difficult for their opponents as part of their development process.
