The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) successfully tracked and arrested Adeniyi Adeyemi, the self-styled Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), after weeks of monitoring.Security sources revealed that Adeyemi was apprehended near Ilesa, Osun State, five days after arriving in the state.

The Intelligence Response Team (IRT), led by CSP Moses Lohor, had been monitoring his movements since he was added to their watchlist before traveling to Osun.

Despite initial deployments for a separate security assignment following recent unrest, the team managed to locate Adeyemi through coordinated efforts.

His arrest followed a bench warrant from the Federal High Court after he failed to appear for arraignment on charges of conspiracy, forgery, and impersonation.The operation was conducted discreetly to prevent escape and public attention, with Adeyemi moved to Ibadan and then Abuja for custody.This highlights the NPF's ability to track high-profile targets through intelligence networks.
