Richard Nyamunyamu, a father from Itibo Ward in Nyamira North who is living with a physical disability, touched many people after performing a gospel song with his daughter Elizabeth during Parents' Day at Moi Kapsowar Girls' School in Elgeyo-Marakwet County.

Nyamunyamu had travelled a long distance to celebrate his daughter, who is among the students preparing to sit for this year's national examinations.When he was invited to entertain the gathering, he called Elizabeth to join him on stage instead of performing alone.

Before they began singing, he shared a heartfelt message, recalling how some people had once doubted that he would be able to raise and educate his daughter because of his disability.He proudly told the audience that despite those doubts, they had both overcome the challenges together.Their touching performance received a warm reception from parents, teachers and students, with many joining in singing and dancing.

Several members of the audience also walked to the front to appreciate the father and daughter, with some giving them cash gifts in recognition of the inspiring moment.

People who know Nyamunyamu described him as an active member of his community and a long-time gospel music enthusiast who has remained involved in ministry and community activities despite his physical challenges.His appearance at the school reflected years of sacrifice, determination and commitment to his daughter's education.
