Recent inspections showed many companies have good safety policies on paper but fail to implement them consistently, leading to compliance driven by audits rather than a culture of prevention.The new audit program will focus on identifying risks, setting safety benchmarks, and helping industries improve resilience.Oresanya emphasized that safety should be a key performance indicator alongside production and profitability.He called for collaboration between government, businesses, and workers to ensure safety is everyone's responsibility.The workshop ended with participants tasked to create practical plans for continuous workplace safety improvements across Ogun.
