Ontario Progressive Conservative Party MPP Stan Cho has faced renewed scrutiny over his riding association expenses, which include thousands of dollars in meals, hotel stays, and luxury travel billed to taxpayers.

Detailed disclosures reveal Cho submitted nearly $100,000 in food and beverage expenses between 2023 and 2026, covering upscale restaurants like Sotto Sotto, Barberian’s Steak House, and the Fishman Lobster Clubhouse.

He also charged over $12,700 in hotel expenses for stays at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier and Rimrock resort, as well as $6,100 for flights and $1,500 for a luxury limo rental.

Cho, who resigned from cabinet after admitting to a 'mistake' in charging taxpayers for personal expenses, faced criticism from opposition leader Amrit Kaur, who argued many expenses served his personal lifestyle rather than representing constituents.The PC Party declined to comment on whether donors are informed their contributions fund such expenditures.This scandal highlights ongoing concerns about transparency in public office and the misuse of taxpayer funds for personal benefit.
