A delegation of Opposition MPs visited Medanta Hospital on Wednesday to meet climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, who is currently on an indefinite hunger strike.

The meeting aimed to appeal to him to end his fast, with the delegation including young MPs from various parties and leaders from AAP, RJD, CPI, and JMM.During the visit, the MPs handed over a letter expressing deep respect for Wangchuk's dedication to youth education and environmental causes.

The letter emphasized that his struggle is a fight for the future of India's children and called upon him to end his fast to continue his impactful work.The Opposition leaders highlighted that the nation, especially the youth, needs Wangchuk's guidance more than his sacrifice.

Meanwhile, the CJP and its founder Abhijeet Dipke also appealed to Wangchuk to end his hunger strike while maintaining that the movement would continue until demands are met.This event underscores the intersection of environmental activism and political discourse in India.
