Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has criticized former Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago even after his acquittal in the KSh 1.1 billion Finland scholarship scandal.

Sudi argued that parents who paid for the scholarships lost their money, accusing Mandago of refusing a fundraiser solution and instead spending funds on legal battles.He emphasized that resources used for Mandago's defense could have compensated the affected families.

Mandago, however, blamed political interference for derailing the program, claiming over 2,000 students could have studied abroad if the initiative had continued.The court cleared Mandago of all charges, stating the prosecution failed to prove guilt beyond reasonable doubt.Sudi vowed to support the parents' quest for justice, highlighting systemic issues where the powerful benefit while the powerless face injustice.Mandago urged the county government to revive the scholarship scheme and address refund processes for misallocated funds.The case underscores tensions between political influence and accountability in public projects.
