Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has publicly stated he will not shield anyone involved in criminal activities, including members of his family, during a meeting with the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Olatunji Disu.The governor addressed allegations that some criminal suspects were allegedly taking refuge in Government House, denying any protection of offenders.

Adeleke challenged security agencies to arrest anyone found guilty, emphasizing that his administration would not condone criminality regardless of status or relationship.

He specifically urged the arrest of his son if he committed a crime, stating, 'If it is my son who committed a crime, arrest him, let him learn his lesson.

' The governor also criticized some police officers for misconduct, citing the alleged transfer of an officer who arrested a suspect linked to the killing of a 14-year-old boy.Adeleke commended the IGP for addressing police indiscipline and urged officers to remain professional.He reiterated his administration's commitment to cooperating with the police if they perform their duties properly.
