The Oyo State Police Command has launched a full probe into the brutal murder of Sefiu Kehinde, a 24-year-old man who was attacked by a masquerade group in Labiran area of Ibadan.

The incident occurred on Sunday when Mrs Aderemi received a distress call from her sister about her younger brother being assaulted with axes and cutlasses by the Asoleke masquerade and its followers.Police arrived swiftly, evacuated the victim to hospital where he died shortly after arrival.The scene was secured, evidence collected, and the deceased's body released for burial per Islamic rites.Masquerade leader Asoleke has been arrested while four accomplices remain at large.Commissioner Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbemiga directed the case to SCID for further investigation.Authorities urge residents to stay calm and provide info to aid the probe.The police emphasize their commitment to combating crime in the state.
