A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) officer, Group Captain Asim Tariq, was martyred after intervening to protect a woman during an abduction attempt on Islamabad's Ninth Avenue.Police reported that the incident occurred when Tariq noticed a woman being pulled off a motorcycle by her rider.Acting as a responsible citizen, he stopped near the vehicle and attempted to intervene.The suspect, identified as Saad, began arguing with Tariq before opening fire, leading to the officer's death.The woman involved claimed that Saad, her office colleague, had altered their route and tried to take her elsewhere, resulting in a struggle.Police are conducting operations to arrest the suspect, who fled the scene.Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed condolences to Tariq's family and directed authorities to ensure justice for the martyr's family.
