The investigation revealed payments for spreading misinformation originated from India, with ties to the banned Jammu Kashmir Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC).The suspect admitted receiving content related to JAAC's activities in Azad Kashmir, which the government alleges undermines the Kashmir cause.Tarar emphasized that the group's violent protests have caused instability in AJK and highlighted irrefutable evidence of its Indian connections.

The ministry stressed countering misinformation as a governmental responsibility while reaffirming Pakistan's commitment to peace and development under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's leadership.The case underscores ongoing efforts to combat digital disinformation and protect national sovereignty.
