Pakistan, Iran, and the United States have emphasized the importance of maintaining close coordination and dialogue to achieve lasting regional peace and stability.

During a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the Islamabad MoU, which aims to foster cooperation between Iran and the US.

The discussions came amid heightened tensions in the Gulf, particularly over the Strait of Hormuz, and concerns about maritime security and energy supplies.

The Houthi attacks on Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea have further complicated the situation, prompting Pakistan to engage in diplomatic efforts with Saudi Arabia and other regional powers.The two ministers highlighted the need for sustained diplomacy, restraint, and de-escalation to prevent further instability.

Pakistan also expressed support for the safe return of Iranian fishermen and crew members intercepted by the US, underscoring its role as a mediator in regional conflicts.

The agreement to maintain close coordination between Pakistan and Iran reflects their shared interest in promoting peace, security, and economic prosperity in the region.
