India's $5.46 Billion Military Equipment Acquisition Approved
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Istanbul on Friday for an official visit to Türkiye, invited by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.The visit aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Türkiye, with discussions focusing on trade, investment, and regional security.
Turkish Trade Minister Omer Bolat welcomed the PM at Istanbul airport, alongside Pakistan’s Ambassador to Türkiye, Dr Yousaf Junaid, and Turkish foreign ministry officials.Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar accompanied the PM.
The leaders will hold comprehensive talks on expanding trade and investment cooperation, as well as addressing regional peace and security challenges.
During his stay, PM Shehbaz will address a business conference organized by Pakistan to showcase opportunities in sectors like special economic zones, energy, IT, and privatisation, aiming to attract Turkish investors and officials.
The visit underscores the strategic partnership between the two nations, with a focus on economic collaboration and geopolitical stability in the region.
