Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has arrived in Washington for a three-day visit aimed at advancing bilateral economic ties with the United States.During his trip, he will engage with U.S.officials including the Office of the USTR, Exim Bank, DFC, and IMF to discuss trade agreements, investment opportunities, and tariff reforms.The talks come amid ongoing negotiations over Trump-era tariffs imposed under IEEPA, which were later adjusted following a Supreme Court ruling.Pakistan faces potential additional tariffs under Section 301 investigations for alleged forced labor practices.

Aurangzeb's visit follows previous discussions on reducing export tariffs from 29% to 19%, and the current focus is on expanding trade frameworks and addressing economic challenges posed by global market volatility.

The minister will also explore financing options for Pakistan's infrastructure and energy projects, emphasizing cooperation between the two nations to stabilize their economic relationship.
