Pakistan has made significant strides in international science competitions by securing three bronze medals at the 56th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) held in Bucaramanga, Colombia.The achievement was accomplished by students Zulfiqar Ali, Ali Hamdan Alvi, and Daniyal Shahzad Hamid, who represented the country with distinction.The competition attracted over 400 participants from 90 countries, offering a prestigious platform for young physicists to showcase their expertise.

The Pakistani team's success is a result of rigorous nationwide selection through the National Science Talent Contest (NSTC) and intensive training at the PIEAS campus.

This milestone underscores Pakistan's commitment to fostering scientific talent, with over 365 students having participated in international science Olympiads since the STEM Careers Programme's inception, earning 144 medals collectively.

The accomplishment highlights the effectiveness of collaborative initiatives between the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and PIEAS in nurturing future scientific leaders.
