Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) has called on local government media officers to uphold the highest standards of ethics, accuracy, and transparency in public communication.This call was made during a capacity-building programme for media delegates from Lagos State’s local government councils.

Uchenna Uzo, deputy vice-chancellor in charge of academic affairs, highlighted the importance of credible information in building public trust and promoting good governance.He stressed that media personnel have a critical role in shaping public understanding and trust.Frank Wiggle, director of university relations, noted that PAU leads by example, demonstrating its values through actions, not just words.The event included an interactive session by master’s students on community relations, crisis management, and ethical communications.Delegates also toured the university museum and participated in a group photo.PAU, a private nonprofit institution in Lagos, is committed to training competent and ethical professionals.

The initiative underscores the university’s strategic goal of grooming leaders with integrity and its dedication to ethical communication in public service.
