Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Taraba State in the 2027 election, has officially named Aminu Zakari as his running mate.

The decision was made after extensive consultations with party leaders, traditional and religious leaders, youth groups, women’s organizations, political allies, and other stakeholders across the state.

Bwacha emphasized that the selection aligns with the campaign’s renewed focus on uniting Taraba State, promoting prosperity, inclusivity, and security.

Zakari, a civil engineer and procurement professional with over 14 years of public service experience, is described as having the competence and integrity needed to support the administration’s vision.

Bwacha highlighted that their ticket represents unity, inclusiveness, and a commitment to delivering transparent, accountable leadership that will unlock Taraba’s potential and restore confidence in governance.The PDP leader thanked stakeholders for their contributions and urged members to remain united ahead of the 2027 election.He expressed confidence in reclaiming the state’s mandate with the support of its people.
