Palace Press Officer Claire Castro confirmed that the President had viewed the video and endorsed the positions of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and Department of National Defense (DND), which labeled the content as a derogatory portrayal of Filipinos.

The video dramatizes tensions between Manila and Beijing over the West Philippine Sea, showing a monkey in traditional Filipino attire being directed by symbols representing the United States and Japan.

After being insulted as 'stupid,' the monkey is shown throwing a sheet with the text 'South China Sea arbitration award' into the sea, mimicking real-life confrontations between Philippine and Chinese vessels.The DFA previously described the video as racist, while DND emphasized its demeaning impact on Filipino dignity.

The 2016 international tribunal ruling in favor of the Philippines remains a key point in the dispute, with Manila insisting China must respect international law.This incident highlights ongoing geopolitical tensions and the use of AI-generated content to spread misinformation.
