The call comes amid escalating tensions between the US and Iran, following Iranian attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz and subsequent US strikes.The PM emphasized the importance of upholding the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as a framework for regional stability.Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to peace, offering to facilitate dialogue between Washington and Tehran.Both leaders also reviewed progress on the MoU and agreed to expedite follow-up actions.The Foreign Office has expressed deep concern over the escalating conflict, urging restraint and emphasizing the need for dialogue.This follows previous strikes between the US and Iran despite a ceasefire agreement, highlighting the fragility of peace efforts in the region.
