The advisory highlights that strong monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea are penetrating upper and central regions, with potential strengthening over the weekend.A westerly disturbance is expected to approach the upper parts on July 20.

Heavy rainfall, accompanied by scattered heavy to very heavy falls, is forecast for multiple regions including Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan.

The PMD warns of flash floods in streams and nullahs, urban flooding in low-lying areas like Islamabad and Lahore, and damage risks to weak structures from strong winds and lightning.Advisories urge tourists to avoid vulnerable areas and farmers to plan agricultural activities.Authorities are advised to remain vigilant to prevent incidents.
