Kingston childcare centre destroyed in early morning fire, police investigate
Victoria Police are searching for a man following a series of violent incidents across two Melbourne suburbs on Sunday morning, involving two alleged stabbings and a deliberate car crash into a residential property.Authorities allege the man first attended a home on Bradman Terrace in Epping at around 7.30am, where he stabbed a man in his 40s.The victim, who is believed to have known the offender, suffered upper body injuries and was taken to hospital in a stable condition.Police say the same man then travelled to Dandenong North, where at approximately 10.15am he allegedly drove a silver Honda CR-V into a house on Exner Drive.After the collision, he exited the vehicle and stabbed a woman in her 30s, who is also known to him.She was transported to hospital with serious but stable upper body injuries.Investigators believe both incidents were targeted attacks, with police stating that the suspect was known to both victims.After the second alleged stabbing, the man fled the scene on foot and remains at large.He has been described as being of African appearance, wearing a brown shirt and black pants at the time of the incidents.Police have urged the public not to approach the man if seen and to contact emergency services immediately.
They have also appealed for anyone with dashcam footage, CCTV, or relevant information from either Epping or Dandenong North during the morning timeframe to assist with the investigation through Crime Stoppers.The incidents have left both communities shaken as police continue their search and investigate the circumstances surrounding the attacks.
