PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has called for the establishment of a truth and reconciliation commission to address ongoing tensions in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

The demand comes amid protests sparked by disputes over the abolition of 12 seats in AJK's Legislative Assembly, which have led to clashes between regional authorities and the JAAC.Bilawal emphasized that peaceful resolution is essential for both the state and protesters to uphold fairness and transparency during elections.

He argued that forming a commission would allow investigators to determine the truth behind the unrest, urging all parties to halt protests until findings are released.

However, he criticized the government for prioritizing PML-N interests over Kashmir's concerns, stressing that innocent civilians should not be punished on the streets.Bilawal called for investigations and accountability, asserting that the conflict could have been resolved without violence.His remarks highlight deepening political tensions in AJK and the need for dialogue to restore stability.
