President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr.announced the full distribution of Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs) to all 82 provinces, cities, and municipalities in the Philippines.

The initiative aims to enhance emergency medical services by providing local government units (LGUs) with specialized vehicles equipped with essential medical tools like stretchers, first aid kits, and oxygen systems.Each PTV also includes safety features such as fire extinguishers and early warning devices.Marcos emphasized that these vehicles will transport patients free of charge between health facilities and communities.

The distribution included 34 additional PTVs to Northern and Central Luzon regions, with allocations to specific provinces like Abra, Ilocos Norte, and Batanes.

The president also outlined plans for the next phase, which involves providing boats to island communities to ensure faster transportation for residents in remote areas.

This initiative reflects the government's commitment to improving healthcare accessibility and emergency response capabilities across the country.
