Princess of Wales reunites with family after completing Three Peaks Challenge for cancer charity

Catherine, Princess of Wales, has released a series of new photographs showing a family reunion following her completion of the Three Peaks Challenge, undertaken in support of the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

The images, shared via social media, depict the Princess alongside her husband, the Prince of Wales, and their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—after she successfully scaled Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) in north Wales.

The challenge involved climbing the highest peaks in England, Scotland, and Wales within a 24-hour period, with Catherine completing Scafell Pike in England and Ben Nevis in Scotland before finishing on Snowdon, where her family joined her.

The Princess, aged 44, described the undertaking as a meaningful opportunity to reflect on life beyond her cancer diagnosis and to contribute to a cause closely associated with her treatment and recovery. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2024 and announced that she was in remission at the beginning of 2025.

In her remarks following the challenge, she highlighted the importance of raising awareness about the wider impact of serious illness and the benefits of holistic healthcare, which addresses physical, emotional, spiritual, and social wellbeing alongside clinical treatment.

The photographs also include members of her wider family, such as her parents Carole and Michael Middleton, her brother James Middleton, and a family dog, emphasising the personal significance of the achievement.

James Middleton publicly expressed pride in his sister’s accomplishment, noting the emotional journey they had shared since her hospitalisation and the healing role of nature throughout her recovery.

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, which benefited from the fundraising initiative linked to the challenge, described the effort as supporting improved holistic care for cancer patients. The Princess has since returned to royal duties after her period of treatment and recovery.
