Chief Minister C.Joseph Vijay inaugurated new healthcare projects worth ₹4.60 crore in Pudukottai via video conferencing.The projects include an additional Government Hospital building at Avudaiyarkoil, constructed for ₹3.50 crore, featuring OPD, wards, operation theatre, labs, and diagnostic units.

A sub-health centre in Melur will provide maternal and child healthcare services, while a Block Public Health Unit in Neerpalani will support disease surveillance and immunisation programs.These facilities aim to enhance public health infrastructure and improve access to medical services in the region.

The inauguration highlights the government's focus on expanding healthcare amenities to underserved areas, ensuring better health outcomes for local populations.
