Residents of Nayagota community in Gyel District, Jos South, staged a protest after two women were allegedly killed by security operatives.The incident, which happened early Monday, led to tension on Bukuru Expressway and culminated in a demonstration at the local government secretariat.Protesters demanded justice, with one person reportedly injured.The Berom Educational and Cultural Organisation (BECO) condemned the attack, citing repeated security threats in the area.

BECO President Da Gyang Dudu Dalyop criticized the security operatives for not engaging the community before entering, calling the use of force against unarmed civilians unjustified.He urged police, DSS, military, and other agencies to investigate and hold perpetrators accountable.No security agency has claimed responsibility yet.The protest highlights ongoing tensions and mistrust in the region.
