Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara and Federal Government signed an MoU in Port Harcourt to boost tourism, arts, culture, and creative economy.The agreement aims to develop Nigeria’s tourism and creative sectors, creating jobs and economic opportunities.

Fubara announced a new public-private tourist beach project set to open by December 2026, alongside infrastructure like the Oyorokoto road in Andoni to improve access to natural attractions.He emphasized diversifying the state’s economy beyond traditional projects, positioning Rivers as a tourism hub.The Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Cultural Project also targets Rivers State, leveraging its cultural heritage and infrastructure.

Both sides pledged to deliver visible results within four months, with joint efforts to transform Rivers into a major cultural and creative destination in Africa.
