Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has officially handed over a brand new school bus to Masinde Muliro Senior School in Tuwan Ward, Trans Nzoia County, as part of his wider plan to strengthen education in the constituency.
Speaking during the handover on Monday, July 20, Amisi said the donation marks the beginning of a long-term programme aimed at ensuring that every school in Saboti eventually receives its own bus.
He described the initiative as another step in improving access to quality education and reducing transport challenges faced by schools during academic and co-curricular activities.
The MP noted that the school bus project builds on other education-focused programmes that have already been implemented in the constituency, including a bursary scheme that he believes is among the best in the country and the construction of classrooms in both primary and secondary schools.
According to Amisi, investing in education infrastructure is essential for improving learning opportunities and creating a better future for learners.
During the event, he also called for proper planning and long-term development strategies, arguing that Kenya requires a renewed commitment to sustainable growth and community transformation.
Masinde Muliro Senior School is the first beneficiary of the transport programme, with additional schools expected to receive buses in the coming phases.
The initiative forms part of the MP's broader commitment to supporting education through improved facilities, financial assistance for students, and better access to school resources across Saboti Constituency.
