The House prosecution panel is seeking Vice President Sara Duterte's appearance in her impeachment trial to address allegations against her.Representative Ysabel Maria Jorge Zamora-Jornada, a member of the prosecution team, emphasized that Duterte's presence would allow her to explain her side and respond to the charges.

The panel plans to present Zuleika Lopez, the Vice President's chief of staff, as a witness on July 14, focusing on Article 4 of the impeachment case.

Lopez's detention in 2024 and subsequent transfer to a women's correctional facility is linked to Duterte's alleged threats against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.and his family.

However, the prosecution remains uncertain about Duterte's attendance next week, as her camp requested food catering facilities for the Senate proceedings.The trial continues with key testimonies expected to shape the legal arguments against Duterte.
