At least 19 militants were killed while 11 security personnel embraced martyrdom during an intelligence-based operation conducted along the N-25 highway in Balochistan, according to security sources.

Pakistan has experienced a notable rise in militant attacks since the Afghan Taliban returned to power in Afghanistan in 2021, with Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remaining the most affected regions.
In response to the deteriorating security situation, Pakistan launched Operation Ghazab lil-Haq against what authorities describe as terrorist hideouts across the border.Pakistani officials have maintained that the operation resulted in the deaths of numerous militants and injuries to many others.Border tensions have also remained high following attacks on Pakistani border posts in late 2025.
Despite diplomatic engagements between Islamabad and Kabul, Pakistan continues to state that adequate action has not been taken against militant groups allegedly operating from Afghan territory.
