Sterling Oil Exploration and Energy Production Company (SEEPCO) partnered with Delta State Government, Vcare for Development Foundation (VCDF), and Nigerian Red Cross Society to promote voluntary blood donation as part of their CSR initiatives.

The campaign, aligned with World Blood Donor Day’s theme 'One Drop of Humanity: Give Blood, Save Lives,' was conducted across Delta State's three senatorial districts.Stakeholders educated residents on the importance of regular, unpaid blood donation to ensure adequate blood supply for healthcare.The campaign followed a similar effort in Lagos, where 550 pints were collected.VCDF highlighted growth in donations, rising from 98 in 2022 to 341 in 2025.The initiative earned VCDF the Blood Donation Champion Award.Hospital officials praised the collaboration for improving access to safe blood.Delta State Commissioner for Health emphasized voluntary donation's role in public health emergencies.Participants noted increased awareness, with many first-time donors expressing willingness to become regular donors.Stakeholders stressed the need for sustained education, as one donation can save multiple lives.The campaign recorded strong community participation across the districts.
