The Senate impeachment court has clarified that the reservations raised by some senator-judges regarding the issuance of subpoenas for Vice President Sara Duterte's and her husband's records will not influence the court's ruling.Spokesperson Atty.

Regie Tongol stated that the written manifestations filed by senator-judges Alan Peter Cayetano, Pia Cayetano, Loren Legarda, Imee Marcos, and Camille Villar are merely for inclusion in the court's proceedings journal and will not trigger further action.

These manifestations were submitted after the court's ruling on Monday, which granted the House prosecution panel's request to subpoena bank, tax, and Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) records.

Tongol emphasized that the manifestations are not appeals against the presiding officer's resolution, which overruled the defense's objection to the requested period covering 2007 to 2021.This means records predating Duterte's 2022 vice presidential election must be produced.

The court began issuing subpoenas to the AMLC, Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), and several banks on Wednesday, according to Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Alfredo Corpuz.The ruling underscores the court's commitment to transparency in the impeachment proceedings, despite the senator-judges' reservations.
