Nigerian Artists Release Fresh Music This Weekend
Colombian superstar Shakira has revealed details about how her collaboration with Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy for the 2026 FIFA World Cup anthem, titled 'Dai Dai', came together.
Shakira explained that she wanted a male voice to complement the song’s energy because of the strong masculine presence associated with football and the World Cup.
Since the track blended Afrobeats, Caribbean influences and R&B elements, she felt an Afrobeats artiste was the right choice for the collaboration.According to Shakira, Burna Boy was her first choice because she had always admired his music and had wanted to work with him.
