The Sindh Counter-terrorism Department (CTD) successfully thwarted a major terrorist plot in Karachi by arresting two members of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA).The operation, conducted on July 6, involved intelligence-based efforts by CTD and federal agencies, leading to the seizure of bomb-making materials.The arrested terrorists, Mujahid Baloch and Farid Baloch, were trained in a BLA camp for reconnaissance and communication.They were operating under the guidance of commanders Sajid Baloch and Bashir Zaib.During the raid, authorities recovered four kilograms of explosives, a detonator, prama-card, and a ball ring.CTD has registered cases against the suspects and is conducting further interrogations to identify potential accomplices.

The operation highlights the ongoing threat of terrorism in Karachi and the proactive measures taken by security agencies to prevent attacks on sensitive installations and law enforcement offices.

The CTD emphasized that additional actions will be taken based on information extracted from the suspects, underscoring the seriousness of the threat posed by the BLA.
